Part of UpSkill Educate has a focus on educating the uninsured. Even non-property owners should understand and know about the importance of renter’s insurance. We educate communities on the importance of planning ahead. Renters suffer the most for their lack of knowledge. It’s our goal to educate communities with a high volume of renters and landlords about the value that comes with having insurance.

As a renter, many are unaware of the renter’s insurance products. We target communities that have a high population of renters and provide the understanding to people, including landlords, the importance and value of purchasing insurance products that can be a huge resource after natural and accidental losses like floods and fires. When people in communities are prepared before a catastrophe impacts their city or town, less pressure is put on our nonprofits and government agencies. The push to educate individuals on not only how to insure but also how to make a claim when that time comes is priceless.

Landlords large and small who own rental property are an important part of every community. Our goal is to educate housing providers to encourage, if not mandate, tenants to purchase some form of renter’s insurance. This will lower the insurance rates they are charged by their insurers, and make sure that if a loss event happens the tenant will have resources to relocate. In some cases, pay for any damage that results from an event caused by the action of a tenant or their guests.
